Q: What rotations are part of your program?
A: The rotations in my program are in commercial, operations, and financial planning. The rotations I’ve completed thus far are in the commercial group in Houston, financial planning, and analysis in Denver and now I’m in the business development group back in Houston.
Q: What do you like most about working for DCP Midstream?
A: All the great people I’ve met and all the friendships I’ve formed both in Houston and Denver, it’s really a great company to work for.
Q: What surprised you the most about this LEAP program?
A: They really throw you in the fire when you start each rotation, I think it was my second day on the job and I was in negotiation with a big customer doing big deals and it was so much fun.
Q: What do you like most about the LEAP program?
A: How excited the Leadership in our company is to meet the people in LEAP and to really foster our career development.
Q: What has been the most challenging aspect of this LEAP program?
A: A move is required and I moved to Denver and left my husband behind in Houston and what was amazing was how much fun we had during that year he would come up to Denver and we would explore various parts of Colorado. I’ve become a much better skier! It was a lot of fun.
Q: If you could give advice for any new LEAP candidates what would this be?
A: Don’t be afraid of change, each rotation serves a purpose.
