Jerry Barnhill is group vice president and Chief EHS & Operational Risk officer for DCP Midstream. He has full responsibility for all of DCP Midstream’s pipeline services, Process Safety Management (PSM), and all environmental, health, safety, audit and security programs. Previously, Jerry was senior vice president of EHS and risk management for DCP Midstream. He was responsible for leading the DCP's overall strategy and performance from a risk perspective including overseeing government and regulatory affairs, and insurance.
Jerry has more than 30 years of knowledge in all sectors of the oil and gas industry. Prior to joining DCP Midstream in 2009, he held various positions in several major oil & gas companies regarding exploration and production, refining, and petrochemicals. Appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Transportation, Jerry currently serves as an industry representative on PHSMA's Liquid Pipeline Advisory Committee.
Jerry has served as the Executive Champion of DCP's major partnership with the American Heart Association since 2016. He also has extensive past involvement with the United Way and the American Red Cross in the Houston region.
Jerry has a degree in Petroleum Engineering from Mississippi State and a MBA from the University of Southern Mississippi. Jerry lives with his wife, Lisa, in Denver, Colorado and has one son and one daughter.
